This unique whisky begins with the same traditional process, aging in ex-Bourbon barrels, before it rests in Oloroso sherry casks to gain extra depth and character. Tasting Note by Laphroaig:Nose: Sweet and peaty with medicinal notes of Manuka honey, hospital bandages, antiseptic lotion, Germolene, strong cloves aroma but also grilled smoky bacon, a distinctive character of sweet leather, iodine and pine tar.Palate: Sweet and aromatic, with rich wax and furniture polish notes followed by treacle toffee, maple syrup, bitter dark chocolate combined with pencil shavings, pine needle and cedar scented wood.Finish: Finished in European oak Oloroso sherry barrels.
Produced at Glengoyne Distillery on the Highland-Lowland boundary since 1883, the 18 Year Old represents the fullest expression of the distillery's unhurried approach to craft. Distilled slowly using unpeated, air-dried barley and matured for nearly two decades, it is a whisky defined by patience and precision, bottled at natural colour without chill-filtration and produced to the distillery's fully recyclable, plastic-free and FSC-certified packaging standards.
The 18 Year Old is matured predominantly in first-fill sherry casks, which over eighteen years impart a generous depth of richness and dried fruit character whilst preserving the clean, smoke-free spirit that defines the Glengoyne house style. The result is a full-bodied and luxurious expression that stands as one of the most refined whiskies in the core range.
Tasting Note by Glengoyne:Nose: A wash with red apple and ripe melon. Heavenly and well rounded, it drifts into hot porridge topped with brown sugar.Palate: Full bodied, round and rich. At first macerated fruits, marzipan and walnuts; then warm spices, dry cocoa and lingering Seville marmalade.Finish: Long, warm and dry.
The pinnacle of GlenDronach’s artistry, this inaugural 2025 edition is crafted from a selection of casks distilled in 1978, 1983, and 1984. Initially aged in PX and Oloroso sherry casks, the whiskies were vatted and further married in a first-fill PX puncheon and a second-fill Oloroso puncheon before bottling. The result is a whisky polished by over four decades of maturation, exuding unparalleled richness, velvet texture, and multi-layered dark fruit character.

A bold exploration of distillation at Laphroaig, Elements 3.0 is the third release in the series. Born from an unexpected fire in the kiln, the peat was burned longer and hotter than usual, resulting in a distinctively intense single malt. Distilled from malt resting directly above the kiln floor, this whisky reflects how even subtle changes in distillation can profoundly influence flavour. Fully matured in American oak ex-bourbon casks.
