As a Dalmore drinker I was looking for something with a similar rounded taste, without the burn. I am delighted to report that this Glendronach 12 fits the bill to a tee.
Always a pleasure to sample a Laphraoig especially when it is cask strength. The aftertaste is always worth the anticipation of the dispensing of the amber nectar
Very rich, fruity, well balanced delight from Bunnahabhain, as you would expect for a 21 year old. Although it is bottled at cask strength, the flavours from the long maturation are intense enough that there is absolutely no burn from the 53%.
Everything is in perfect balance to make a memorable experience tasting this delightful Islay (but unpeated) whisky.

I purchased this bottle not necessarily as an investment but for drinking when I am slightly older & retired from work. Bottle arrived perfectly packaged & without any damage & it looks really good on my whisky shelf. I look forward to trying it in about 15 years time.
