Royal Brackla 19 Year Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish (Exceptional Cask Series)

Established in 1812 near Cawdor in the Scottish Highlands, Royal Brackla holds a distinction shared by very few distilleries in Scotland. In 1833 it became the first distillery to be granted a Royal Warrant, bestowed by King William IV, earning it the enduring title of The King's Own Whisky. That heritage of quality and craftsmanship underpins every expression released under the Royal Brackla name, and this 19 Year Old Exceptional Cask release is a particularly fine example of the distillery's considered approach to maturation.

Limited to just 1,170 bottles, this small batch release has been matured in carefully selected casks before a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks adds a further layer of richness and complexity. Bottled at 54.9% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, it is presented in the fullest expression of the distillery's traditional style. Tasting Note by Royal Brackla:
Nose: Smooth vanilla sweetness with soft notes of creamy coconut and ripe honeydew melon, lifted by gentle hints of cinnamon and star anise.
Palate: Full bodied and well rounded, with vanilla and coconut at the centre, layered with the lush fruitiness of honeydew melon and a warming weave of cinnamon spice and star anise.
Finish: Long and vibrant, with lingering warmth, gentle spice and a clean sweetness that fades gradually.
