Founded in 2015 in the Liberties district of Dublin, Teeling Whiskey Company represents a revival of distilling in the Irish capital after a hiatus of over 125 years. This third edition continues that exploration with a maturation entirely in virgin Swedish oak, a cask type rarely employed in Irish whiskey production.
The whiskey itself is crafted from a recipe of equal parts malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in Teeling's copper pot stills in Dublin in the traditional single pot still style. Full maturation in virgin Swedish oak casks, rather than a finishing period, means the wood's influence is woven throughout the spirit rather than layered on at the final stage.
