Balvenie 16 Year Old French Oak Pineau Cask Finish

The Balvenie French Oak stands as a vibrant single malt whisky that has undergone a finishing period in casks previously cradling wine sourced from the renowned French Charentes vineyards. Pineau des Charentes, a fortified wine, is crafted by blending unfermented grape juice with Cognac eau-de-vie, followed by a maturation process. This distinctive wine is also crafted as a homemade product in the neighboring Deau-Sevres and Vendee regions. The inspiration for this exploration into French Oak casks came from a suggestion by The Balvenie USA brand ambassador, Lorne Cousin. He urged Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE to consider these casks after a visit to the region with his family, where he fondly remembered savoring an aperitif. This release marks The Balvenie's initial foray into the realm of French Oak. Pineau, resembling Cognac both in production and flavor, allows them to leverage the growing popularity of this flavor profile, complemented by its premium standing. Tasting Note by Balvenie:Nose: Beautifully balanced light floral notes from lotus and geranium flowers dance between hints of fresh meadow grass and pealed apple skin.Palate: An energising zing from tangy lemon rind and grapefruit meet the delicate subtle sweetness of glazed fruits and spice from root ginger.Finish: Refreshingly concise.

Balvenie 30 Year Old Rare Marriages with Complimentary LINLEY Bespoke Home Experience Gift Set

Founded in 1892 by William Grant adjacent to the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, The Balvenie remains one of the few distilleries in Scotland to maintain all five of the traditional crafts in-house: it grows a proportion of its own barley, operates its own floor maltings, employs a team of coopers, maintains a team of coppersmiths, and keeps a dedicated team of skilled distillers. That commitment to craft is not a marketing position but an operational reality, and it informs the character of every expression the distillery produces. The Balvenie Thirty is a rare marriage of Traditional oak and European oak casks, each matured for decades before being united by Honorary Ambassador and former Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, whose career at the distillery spans more than half a century. This expression is presented here with a complimentary LINLEY Bespoke Home Experience Gift Set, making it one of the most complete and considered gift propositions in the premium whisky category. LINLEY is the British luxury design house founded by Lord Linley, and the pairing brings together two names synonymous with exceptional craft and refinement. For a milestone birthday, anniversary or significant occasion, few gifts at any price point carry the same weight or lasting impression. Tasting Note by Balvenie:Nose: Smooth and honeyed on the nose with mellow oaky tones and hints of candied orange peel.Palate: Great depth with rich dark chocolate, hints of plum, marzipan and caramelised pear.Finish: Exceptionally smooth and warming with gentle spice and lingering sweetness.

    BenRiach The Smokey 10

Benriach The Smoky Ten Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinctive expression that pays homage to Benriach's unconventional approach to whisky-making. In the early 1970s, the distillery broke with tradition in Speyside by returning to the old-style method of distilling batches of whisky with malted barley that was smoked with Highland peat. This unique approach using wood-rich Highland peat gives Benriach's peated whiskies a distinctly sweet and smoky character. The Smoky Ten is crafted from a combination of unpeated and peated spirit. It undergoes a triple maturation process, spending at least ten years in a combination of bourbon barrels, Jamaican rum casks, and toasted virgin oak. Tasting Note by BenRiach:Nose: Ripe orchard fruit syrup, smoked honey glaze and oak spice.Palate: Smoked applewood, honey maple and spiced pear finishing with lingering fruit and smoked oak.
