Angel's Envy was founded in Louisville, Kentucky, by master distiller Lincoln Henderson with a simple but ambitious philosophy: to take exceptional bourbon and make it better. The distillery's signature approach centres on secondary cask finishing, a process that sets it apart within the American whiskey category and has earned it recognition as the world's best-selling ultra-premium bourbon by volume, a distinction it has held consistently since 2020.

The Kentucky Straight Bourbon begins with four to six years of ageing in new American white oak barrels before being transferred for up to six months into ruby Port wine casks imported from Portugal's Douro Valley. To ensure an exacting flavour profile, the bourbon is blended twice — once before the Port wine finish and once after — a level of care and precision that underpins the distillery's reputation for consistency and craft. The result is a whiskey of considerable smoothness and layered complexity, bottled at 86.6 proof.
