Description

Introducing the second edition in Arran's Signature Series, this 11 Year Old Single Malt has been matured to perfection. The spirit, with a peat level of 42ppm, was initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for five and a half years, before undergoing a further maturation of five and a half years in 115-litre Quarter Casks. This exceptional whisky has been specially selected by Stewart Bowman and carries his personal seal of approval. It was distilled and matured at the Lochranza Distillery. Globally, only 14,822 bottles have been released. Each bottle is accompanied by a recyclable cotton gift bag.

Tasting Note by Arran:
Nose: Hazelnuts coated in caramel. Orange Zest and abundant vanilla. Rich dry smoke.
Palate: Rich and smooth. Mouth-watering, oily and complex. Spicy, cinnamon notes mingle with citrus. Lots and lots of vanilla and toasted oak.
Finish: Long rich and sweet. Plenty of vanilla and peat.

Rare Maturation Journey

Started its journey in 2012 in Bourbon Barrels and later moved to Koval Quarter Casks in 2018. These casks, which have not been refilled since, now represent a limited edition bottling.

A Combination of Peat and Bourbon

This is Arran's peaty side, featuring a peat level of 42ppm. Special quarter casks blend smoky notes with charred citrus and sweet vanilla spices to create a unique bonfire-like aroma.

I’m of the age now (61) where I seem to be pinging off emails, mostly when I’m very satisfied with customer satisfaction, rarely a complaint (as I just stop using the company)!!!
So, you’ve hit the mark, well and truely.

How? Apart from price, 15% discount code that worked on a reduced item, super fast tracked next day delivery, it was the packaging.

I’m no eco warier but when I saw the cardboard box and paper sticky tape, my hopes were raised.

It just tickles me that I don’t have to have a grump at non-recyclable plastics inside.
The items were more than adequately packaged so that is not a concern.
