Balcones Texas Single Malt

They set out to demonstrate that exceptional whisky can not only originate from Texas but also lead its category. Using culinary-grade ingredients and processes shaped by Texas itself, their approach involves some of the world's tallest Forsyth copper pot stills to produce a rich, viscous bourbon. The long fermentations take advantage of local microflora to enhance fruity aromas, while Texas's dramatic climate and customised casks contribute to a complex flavour profile. Each barrel is meticulously tasted during blending to ensure the final product reflects the nuanced influence of its Texan maturation.

Tasting Note by Balcones: 
Nose: Ripe, buttered stone fruit, banana and pears; honey and rose water with delicate citrus accents.
Palate: Silky and full on the palate; lightly toasted bread with fresh butter and marmalade.
Finish: Long finish with lingering toast and burnt sugar notes morphing into rich malt and wood flavors with counterbalancing acidity.
