The BenRiach Malting Season 2 celebrates the distillery's restored traditional malting floor, using hand-malted Concerto barley distilled in autumn 2013 and matured in first-fill bourbon casks until it was bottled in 2022 at 48.9% ABV. This process preserves the pure flavour of the raw ingredient, showcasing a whisky crafted entirely from barley malted in-house at BenRiach.
Tasting Note by Benriach:
Nose: Rich malt sweetness with barley sugar and mandarin enrobed in creamy white chocolate.
Palate: Smooth honeycomb infused with citrus and orchard apple, with an enveloping fruit, malt and vanilla cream finish.
