Description

In terms of cask types, it begins its maturation journey in a blend of ex-Bourbon and ex-Sherry casks. Then, 50% of the blend undergoes further refinement in first-fill Sherry casks, while the remainder is aged in first-fill Bourbon casks.

Notably, all Craigellachie expressions uphold a steadfast commitment to quality: they are non-chill filtered, free from caramel coloring, and bottled at a respectable 46% ABV. For those seeking a whisky of character and authenticity, Craigellachie is a notable choice.

Incredible value for money

A beautiful experience. A full flavour whisky, with a body to match. For a modest single malt price (less than £50) this is a superb drink. I love the label design too! Going to try the 17 next.

I haven't tasted this as it was bought as a Christmas present, however the information on site was great and the price was the best I could find. The Whisky arrived well and thoughtfully wrapped, no plastic, and with a little free sample. A very happy customer.

Received a 25ml sample bottle with another purchase. Was so impressed with the taste, smoothness and texture that I've added it to my list for future purchase ( that's id any of the family read it!)

Craigellachie 13

A favourite whisky. Slightly funky/sulphury on the nose from the Wormtub i suspect. (Not unpleasant, just different). Great depth of flavour with prominent treacle, chocolate, dark fruits. Let it sit/breathe in the glass for a while to get the best from it.

Light, smooth, delicate

I first tasted this a week ago, and loved the smooth flavour. I don't care for peaty whiskey, so this is perfect for my taste buds, using bourbon and then sherry casks. I am a bourbon drinker as well, so I search for whiskey matured in bourbon casks. Great by itself, or in a cocktail with two cherries!
