Tasting Note by GlenAllachie:
Nose: Dark cherries, golden syrup and sweet spices to the fore, with hints of toffee, glazed figs and hazelnuts.
Palate: Our heather honey hallmark, alongside orange peel, cocoa and ginger, with caramelised brown sugar on the finish.

An outstanding dram

An outstanding dram. Smooth, rich, fruity, dates and caramel. Yum yum. Very quaffable.

GlenAllachie 15 Year Old

An outstanding example of a wonderfully crafted Speyside single malt from the Glen Allachie distillery. The 15 Year old has a great depth of character drawn from the Sherry Casks. It's a matter of preference but, the merest splash of water helps enhance the smoothness and release the richly flavoured and complex expressions.

My first time for ordering from JPHA and their service, packaging and delivery support was exceptional. Look forward to buying from them again.

Unfortunately I can't review the whisky itself, as it joins my collection. However, I can't fault the quality service by JPHA. Especially as I got it at such a good price. I'll be keeping an eye on this online shop.

GlenAlachie

A relatively young distillery at the southern end of the village of Aberlour, I have actually visited the distillery and have previously sampled both the 12 and 15 year old offerings. Both are excellent examples of a well made whiskey by a great master blender and taste just like it “says on the tin” well worth trying.

I buy Glenallachie for my every day drinking as it is a stunning whisky and great value for money.

All the team at JPHA are really great and the service is exceptional. Speedy delivery and excellent packing.

A little disappointing compared to the 12 year old, almost too smooth. For me, it's lost some of the complexity of the 12.

If you like smooth, non peated caramel style whiskies, I would definitely recommend this 15 yr old. We originally tried it on the recommendation of the whisky shop owner in Dufftown, based on our specified taste notes, this whisky really delivers at an affordable price and I would say stands up well against some much more expensive brands.
