GlenAllachie's fourth edition of the revered 21 year old expression, emblematic of Billy Walker's signature style, boasts of its Sherry maturation elegance. Specially handpicked by Billy from 50,000 casks, this malt was aged in three vintage Pedro Ximénez puncheons, lending it a deep richness with notes of chocolate truffles and maraschino-steeped cherries. Presented at a cask strength of 51.1%, it offers a pure drinking experience, free from added colours or chill-filtration.
Tasting Note by GlenAllachie:
Nose: Waves of clementine zest, raisins and honeycomb, with cocoa, fruit cake and caramelised brown sugar.
Palate: Bursts of baking spice, rich chocolate and heather honey, followed by treacle, orchard fruits and black cherries, with sweetened espresso on the finish.
