Oloroso Sherry, named for its 'fragrant' essence and known as the darkest dry Sherry due to extensive aging without a 'flor' yeast layer, is celebrated for its deep nutty and dried fruit characteristics. Aging in seasoned Oloroso butts infuses rich flavors of coffee beans, sticky raisins, stem ginger, and figs, harmonizing with The GlenAllachie's signature honey-rich profile. The Wood Collection is proudly introduced at 48% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtering, showcasing the distinctive identity of each spirit.
Tasting Note by GlenAllachie:
Nose: Heather honey, mocha and dried apricots, with notes of cinnamon butter, red velvet cake and marzipan.
Palate: Dark chocolate, honeycomb and butterscotch, leading to dried red berries, ginger and damsons, with poached apples and muscovado sugar.
