Glenburgie 27 Year Old 1995 (Milroy's)

As part of the newest addition to the Milroy’s Vintage Reserve line-up, this exquisitely matured Glenburgie expression was handpicked by an expert team for its lively fruit notes. Each bottling in this series deliberately avoids overpowering cask influences, allowing the true essence of the distillate to take centre stage. This particular release offers an intriguing glimpse into the Speyside distillery's character. Typically earmarked for blending, this rare offering provides a unique chance to savour an older release from the single malt producer, matured in a hogshead cask.

Tasting Note by Milroy's:
Nose: Aromatic and mouthwatering, the nose opens with boiled sweets before orchard fruit, milk chocolate and a dusting of liquorice arrive.  
Palate: Surprisingly zesty for its age, the release opens with marmalade on toast before pomegranate and earthy sweet spices arrive.  
Finish:  Medium length with more of those spices.
