The Glencadam Reserva PX Single Malt Scotch Whisky is crafted in limited batches by the Master Distiller, using meticulously chosen malt aged in premium American oak ex-bourbon casks from their age-old dunnage warehouses. This malt is then expertly blended and refined in hand-picked Pedro Ximénez Sherry butts from Andalucía, Spain. It's bottled at natural colour, 46% ABV and without undergoing chill filtration.
Glencadam Reserva PX Cask Finish was awarded the Best Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky (2024)!
The Judging Panel described the whisky as showing; ‘Perfumed aroma with raspberry and blackcurrant jams and nutmeg. The complex palate features toffee, caramel, stewed apples, dates, nutmeg, and cinnamon.’
Tasting Note by Glencadam:
Nose: Tangy and fresh with aromas of tropical fruits and citrus bound by a soft vanilla sweetness and baking spices.
Palate: Bright and grassy with layers of pineapple, lemon curd and brioche with citrus zest highlights.
Finish: Clean and crisp with notes of yellow fruits, vanilla pod and nutmeg spices.

Very pleasurable dram, very palletable with soft tones

ONE OF THE TOP TEN SHERRY CASKS IVE HAD , WELL WORTH THE MONEY GET A COUPLE BEFOR THEY GO........

On first opening it comes across very strong on both the nose and pallate, however after leaving it to breathe for a while it calms down and gives luscious tones of rich sherried fruits, a hint of Christmas spice and a drop of vanilla and toffee. It’s like a bonfire toffee apple but with a gentle nudge of pepper.

A nice young fruity number, probably best suited as an after dinner dram in lieu of a heavy dessert. Definitely needs time in the glass before drinking.
Sherry forward, sweet syrup & sour cherry, light toffee notes.

This is Excellence personified. What a stunning Dram. Rich and luxurious, smooth and bursting with leathery sweetness. If this was an Actor, it would be Oscar worthy. Epic performance!

Hey JHPA, I’m more than happy to post reviews, but maybe give me more than an hour between my bottle being delivered and asking me to review it. The bottle is for a weekend in a month or so’s time - I’ll be happy to review it after that!
I will say delivery service was fantastic - less than 48 hours from placing my order to receiving delivery. Comms were very good too.
