This distinguished spirit originates from select single malts that have matured in exceptional American oak ex-bourbon casks housed in Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses. These chosen malts are then expertly blended and finished in Tawny Port barriques imported from Portugal. Presented at 46% alcohol by volume, Glencadam Reserva de Porto Tawny retains its natural hue and is bottled without chill filtration.
Tasting Note by Glencadam
Nose: Rich dark fruits and candied cloves with hints of blackcurrant liquorice and baking spices.
Palate: Layers of brambles, blackcurrant jam, treacle toffees and Morello cherries leading into plum crumble and cedarwood spices.
Finish: Warming notes of walnut, golden syrup and Victoria sponge cake fading into toasty wood spices.
