Lovely whisky

Very very nice whisky indeed. It has a surprisingly rich body and impressive depth, with a lovely sherry cask touch.
Good length though surprisingly lingers longer on the palate than on the back of the tongue. Doesn't matter, you'll be asking for seconds....

A nice example of a Speyside whisky but with a little sherry to add depth. Glenfarclas 12yo is also subtle in favour but has a richness I was not expecting. This is a really good example of a single malt that new comers to the world of whisky and those who usually drink the more powerful tasting Islay could enjoy.

a breath of fresh air

came across glenfarclad on a internet search for something a little different from the usual whiskey available in the local stores. as soon as it came and I tasted it I knew it was something special. I started with the 10yr first but the 12yr is perfect. really recommended.

A Timeless Award Winner

Awarded "Best Sherried Whisky" in the Single Malt World Cup in 2006 for good reason. A very sherried profile, with notes of raisin, honey, and a soft linger of smoke.
