Description

Distilled and matured at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Speyside, this 23 Year Old forms part of the distillery's prestigious Grand Series, a collection that represents the upper tier of the Glenfiddich range. Founded in 1887 by William Grant and still family owned today, Glenfiddich brings over a century of Speyside craft to each expression in the series. The Grand Cru is among the most refined of these, combining an extended maturation with a finishing cask of considerable distinction.

Twenty-three years of maturation in American and European oak casks establishes a deep and well-integrated character before the whisky is transferred to rare French cuvée casks for its finishing period. These casks, associated with some of the finest sparkling wine production in France, introduce a delicate brightness and an elegant structural lift that sets this expression apart from more conventional Speyside releases. Presented in a striking black and gold bottle befitting its position within the Grand Series, the Grand Cru is a compelling choice for the collector and an exceptional gift for occasions that warrant something genuinely special.

Nose: Apple blossom, freshly baked bread and candied lemon.
