Description

A bold and innovative expression that combines two contrasting flavours: smoky campfire and rich toffee sweetness. Breaking boundaries begins with blending peated whisky and Glenfiddich's signature sweet, fruity malts originally aged in bourbon casks. The final touch ends with six months of finishing in Latin rum casks.

Tasting Note by Glenfiddich:
Nose: Billowing soft peat notes, like distant smoke on the wind. Rich sweet toffee with zesty fresh fruit notes and spiciness.
Palate: Like a Highland peat campfire, with oak notes and toffee. Sharp green fruit, sweet baked apple and soft smoke.
Finish: Lingering smokiness and sweetness.

Wonderful flavour, smoky at first then a sweet vanilla lasting taste.

Appreciation depends on purchase cost

It's a decent whisky if you can get it discounted.
It's pleasant and easy to drink, with decent depth whilst not being particularly memorable.
I wouldn't pay the full retail price for that, but when it comes on offer it's pleasant enough to consider.

Nice bottle of whisky, quite a bit different from standard Glenfiddich's
JPHA are a good company giving great service and a wide range of choice.

I bought this as a gift for my partner who loves a smokey, peaty whisky and this fit the bill perfectly. He absolutely loves it. i will definitely be buying him another bottle for those special occasions. Thanks again

It’s an interesting one

Glad I give it a go . The cane influence of the rum barrels finish is there and I’m glad they took it to 43% , better moth feel. On special offer under £30 is worth a try but £40 - £45 it’s a no for me. I’ve tried the Balvenie 14 Caribean cask - that’s a different ball game , lots more money tho.
