Glenmorangie Nectar d’Or

In crafting this exceptional whisky, the distillery begins by distilling a delicate and fruity spirit in their iconic giraffe-high stills. This spirit undergoes a unique maturation process, spending time in American oak bourbon casks and casks previously used to hold Sauternes sweet white wine.

The outcome is reminiscent of a dreamy dessert filled with the richness of white chocolate intertwined with the zesty allure of lemon cream, the velvety sweetness of crème caramel, and the comforting notes of almond croissants. These delightful flavors are harmoniously balanced by a subtle undercurrent of spice.

Tasting Note by Glenmorangie:
Nose: Lemon tart emerges with vanilla, lime and orange zest. Sultanas and dates follow, laced with ginger and coconut.
Palate: Warming gingerbread gives way to nutmeg and toasted almonds, entwined with meringue and honeycomb.
Finish: Sweet and mellow, balancing lemon zest, vanilla cream and final traces of ginger and nutmeg.
