The Glentauchers 12-Year-Old 2010, selected by Milroy's, is a single malt that was initially matured in a refill hogshead before being reracked into a first-fill Manzanilla hogshead for further aging. This whisky, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022, has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 56.3%. This particular expression was limited to just 251 bottles, making it a rare and collectible release.
Tasting Note by Milroy's:
Nose: Clean, poised and citrusy with buttery baked apples with demerara sugar.
Palate: Distinctly waxy with sharp fresh ginger, fresh malt, lemon drizzle cake and salted caramel crunch.
Finish: Distinctly Palo-Cortado – dry but with hints of figs and burnt butterscotch.
