The Glenturret 10 Years Old Peat Smoked is a celebration of the ever-evolving flavors derived from our barley, spirit, and casks. Peat has played a significant role in our distilling heritage, with historical records indicating that The Glenturret once sourced peat from the nearby mosses for whisky production in the early 1800s.
This expression pays homage to the various sources of peat we now use for our smoky whiskies. The character of the smoke flavors is in a constant state of transformation over time. Our peated spirit undergoes maturation in both first-fill and second-fill European and American oak casks. The resulting whisky is a complex single malt with a robust ABV of 50%.
