The Hakushu 18 Peated Malt is a special limited edition crafted in honor of Suntory Whisky's 100th anniversary. This exceptional whisky is composed of meticulously selected malt whiskies, all aged for a minimum of 18 years in various casks. At the Hakushu Distillery, the skilled blenders use peat to impart a smoky character to the whisky, while the pure mountain water from the region, filtered through ancient granite rocks, softens the palate.
This centennial Hakushu Peated Malt is characterized by its refinement and elegance. The smoke in this whisky is subtle, never overpowering, and follows the Japanese tradition of complexity and gentleness. Upon tasting, you'll experience a welcoming spiciness with a slow, evolving wave of smoke that reveals herbaceous notes and hints of green fruitiness.
