This single malt matures in charred ex-Bourbon barrels for a full decade before being bottled at its natural cask strength, preserving its powerful and distinctive flavours.

Tasting Note by Laphroaig:
Nose: The nuanced aroma reveals whiffs of sweet cereals, fresh oak and pipe tobacco with touches of leather, nutmeg and vanilla.
Palate: The Original Cask Strength is sweet and spicy with notes of vanilla, toffee and sea salt along with hints of cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: Long finish with lingering spice, oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.

This is a good CS whisky.

Wow.
Fruity, sweet, medicinal, smokey, peaty. Can't talk anymore I need to get back to another dram.

This is a punch in the face

This batch is incredible it's so powerful and full of good peated, smoky flavour also a bit of vanilla and sweetness and some fruit in there but it's very faint whit water it gets brighter and you will get more distinct flavours out of it but mouthfeel is still powerful and oily and finish is going for days this whisky is not for faint hearted

My go to staple whisky is Laphroaig 10 year Old. This Cask Strength (Batch 15) is next level stuff. I don't think my partner has noticed the difference as the packaging is identical. They also don't drink whisky so won't taste a difference. With luck my penchant for this one will remain a secret. Well worth the extra.
