Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength (Batch 15) is a robust expression of Laphroaig's classic 10 Year Old, boasting a bold character and an impressive 56.5% ABV. This single malt matures in charred ex-Bourbon barrels for a full decade before being bottled at its natural cask strength, preserving its powerful and distinctive flavours.

Tasting Note by Laphroaig:
Nose: The nuanced aroma reveals whiffs of sweet cereals, fresh oak and pipe tobacco with touches of leather, nutmeg and vanilla.
Palate: The Original Cask Strength is sweet and spicy with notes of vanilla, toffee and sea salt along with hints of cinnamon and pepper.
Finish: Long finish with lingering spice, oak tannins, iodine and sea salt.

Fantastic price on this. Cheapest I’ve found it at. Great dram of whisky too. Lovely peaty, sweet and meaty.
Well packaged product and great delivery time also.

Now That's The Spirit.

My go to staple whisky is Laphroaig 10 year Old. This Cask Strength (Batch 15) is next level stuff. I don't think my partner has noticed the difference as the packaging is identical. They also don't drink whisky so won't taste a difference. With luck my penchant for this one will remain a secret. Well worth the extra.

This is Laphroaig turned up to eleven

Intense, smoky and uncompromising, but with enough sweetness, citrus and oak to keep the whisky balanced. Batch 15 delivers the classic Laphroaig profile with considerably more power and texture.

A proper peat monster

My 3rd bottle. If you love heavily peated Islay whisky, this is exactly the sort of dram that rewards slow sipping. Big smoke, big flavour and plenty of character — without losing the distinctive Laphroaig DNA.

Arrived on time and extremely well packaged. Goes down smoothly but that extra % doesn’t half provide a power boost about two seconds after you sink it.

Wonderful. I am a big fan of Laphroaig. This has all the classic smoky peaty flavour with a super big presence.

Incredible..

After years of denying Islay was my kind of whisky, I'm all in for its smokey peaty charms. Add a splash of water to calm its ABV and it is just superb, smooth, sweet and smokey, bold but well balanced.

An excellent variant of a well loved, full strength, monster. I find it to be (slightly more integrated and balanced than batch 17, and much better than 16).

Laphroaig 10 at Cask Strength - What's not to love?

First, it's worth praising JPHA in general. Really really happy with these guys! Amazingly priced bottle, arrived on time, and came with a bonus tiny dram!
The nose on this one is brimming with life, you have vanilla, milk chocolate, fresh fruit - limes and sour apples, and of course salty sea-weedy briny medicinal laphroaig smoke. The palate carries on with the same notes from the nose, with the amplification of the vanilla and sea salt notes. Finally, it finishes with a salted dark chocolate that brings everything to a close. Great whisky and exceptional value when on sale - of course, it goes without saying but you have to be a peat lover to enjoy this one.

I would recommend trying out batch 16 of this as well, it's my personal favourite out of the three batches I've tried (the 15,16 and 17), and it leans much more into that salty, briney, sea-weedy oak character.
