This is a truly great whisky. I love the fruit on the nose, along with the fruity, creamy vanilla taste on the mouth, followed by the truly classic Ledaig peppery peat smoke, which works really well with the Bordeaux wine cask. A truly fantastic whisky and one of my favourites I have tried.

I've developed a liking for west coast Whisky finished in Red Wine/ Port/ Sherry casks as they add another level of flavour.

Very impressive whisky.
For a young ish dram at 9yo, it is impressively both rich and smooth. The red wine cask maturation brings sweet and pleasant fruitiness, as well as depth.
It remains decidedly a Ledaig, with a lovely peaty character.
Needs an ice cube or two due to strength.

Lovely spirit , the red wine flavours complement the peat perfectly. Goes down very easy even at cask strength.
