Using a combination of Straight Neck and traditional Swan Neck Stills, the Inchomoan 12 emphasises soft smoke and warming spice, the two key elements of Loch Lomond's character. Master blender Michael Henry skilfully uses three types of American Oak casks to capture captivating notes of wood, peat smoke, roasted coffee, green apple, clove, and aniseed spice.
Tasting Note by Loch Lomond:
Nose: Dry peat smoke with vanilla syrup and cracked black pepper.
Palate: Sweet, medicinal peat and smoked bacon lead into roasted coffee bean with spice notes of clove and star anise. Warming spiciness combines with green apple and pear.
Finish: Long, waxy peat with citrus hop note and gooseberry.
