MacPhail's 50 Year Old

Gordon & MacPhail MacPhail's 50 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for five decades in carefully selected oak casks. Part of the MacPhail's Range, this expression reflects the independent bottler's longstanding expertise in cask selection and extended whisky maturation.

For more than 125 years, Gordon & MacPhail has worked with Scottish distilleries to mature and bottle single malt Scotch whisky. The MacPhail's Range continues this tradition, focusing on the relationship between spirit, oak and time. For this 50 Year Old expression, the identity of the originating distillery remains undisclosed, adding an element of mystery to the whisky's provenance.

The casks were produced to Gordon & MacPhail's exact specifications, allowing the whisky to develop its character over 50 years of maturation. The resulting expression combines mature sherry influences with rich dried fruit, chocolate and spice characteristics. Its extended ageing demonstrates the influence of carefully managed oak maturation on the complexity and structure of a long-aged single malt.
