Milk & Honey Apex Pomegranate Wine Cask (Batch 8)

This Israeli single malt from the Milk & Honey distillery in Tel Aviv is a unique and intriguing expression. Distilled in 2018, it underwent a distinctive maturation process. Initially aged in ex-bourbon casks, it was then finished for six months in ex-pomegranate wine casks, resulting in a one-of-a-kind flavor profile. Upon nosing, you'll discover inviting aromas of ripe pomegranate, vanilla, roasted coffee, and butterscotch. The palate offers a complex array of flavors, including dried figs, garden herbs, white pepper, toasted oak, and sourdough toast. This whisky, bottled in February 2022 as part of the Apex series, showcases the creativity and innovation of the Milk & Honey distillery.

Tasting Note by M&H Distillery:
Nose: Ripe pomegranate, followed by a swirl of rich vanilla, roasted coffee and butterscotch. Strong earthiness, accompanied by notes of orris root, spearmint and freshly baked sour apple.
Palate: Juicy, with crushed pomegranate grains, dried figs and a bouquet of spicy-sour herbs.
Finish: Long and dry, with a hint of toasted oak, followed by sourdough pretzels with a side of red fruits.
