Pokeno Discovery is a whisky that celebrates its unique place in the world. It begins by meticulously selecting and blending stock parcels that have undergone full maturation in first-fill bourbon, Oloroso, and Pedro Ximenez casks. These blended components are then returned to casks for further aging, allowing them to meld and harmonize perfectly. The result is a whisky characterized by its richness and complexity, featuring enticing notes of dark chocolate, black forest gateau, ripe cherries, and sweet citrus. This journey leads to a finish that is remarkably smooth and exceptionally long-lasting.
Tasting Note by Pokeno:
Nose: A hint of treacle and cinnamon, along with dried figs, cherries, and cocoa nibs.
Palate: Warm spices, vanilla, cocoa powder, candied orange peel, and oak.
Finish: Allspice and dried raisins linger.
