Bottled at a 46.3% ABV, the Tobermory 12 Year Old is featured as the signature expression in the Tobermory core range without any added colour and without chill-filtering. Exhibiting a natural hue and not subjected to chill filtering, the Tobermory 12-year whisky offers a lively array of fruit and spice flavors, complemented by a gentle saltiness that mirrors the waters of our harbor.

Tasting Note by Tobermory:
Nose: Rich fruit, orange and citrus notes, fresh floral hints and rich oak with vanilla and spice.
Palate: Sweet orange and citrus, creamy caramel and rich vanilla with spicy hints of cinnamon and clove.
Finish: Long and lingering vanilla and spice.

2nd bottle

Visited Tobermory and tried this whisky in the Oban Inn. Picked up a bottle in the shop a few doors down the next day. Delicious dram. I'm no whisky expert, but it tasted of the place it was made, if you know what I mean. I think the French call that terroir?

Best smoothest whisky!! Extremely palatable

Every year I try to find a malt whisky to enjoy over the festive period, but unfortunately I have found that many have been disappointing and do not live up to their reviews - or perhaps my palate differs from those of the professional reviewers. This year I started to sample a few earlier, and chanced upon this 12-year old.
This is the one for me! I love its taste, well-rounded, fruity and spicy. It is so smooth that it glides rather than dances over my palate, but leaves an amazing aftertaste. In addition, at around £40 per bottle it is superb value for money.
For those who, like me, are not fans of peaty whiskies and prefer something more seductive, I cannot rate this highly enough. I have had to lock it away for the next two weeks, and for once I am impatient for the festive season to arrive!
I may glance at, and even sample, other single malts from time to time, but from now I shall always remain faithful to Tobermory 12. My deepest thanks to all those responsible for this wonderful creation.

BEST WHISKY FOR ITS PRICE
This one gets a lot sweeter and the fruits really ripen as you get further down the bottle. My first pour of this from a freshly opened bottle was also resoundingly salty. I recommend coming back to this one with some time and/or further down the bottle.

One of my favourites. Works well on its own or with a few drops(and I mean drops!) of water.
