Under the expertise of their Master Distiller, Robert Fleming, Tomintoul presents the second batch of their Tomintoul 12 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Cask Finish. This exceptional expression begins with the careful selection of single malt distilled in 2010, which undergoes an initial maturation in high-quality ex-bourbon American oak casks. Subsequently, the single malt is artfully married and subjected to a finishing period in the finest Oloroso Sherry butts sourced from Andalucía, Spain.
Tasting Note by Tomintoul:
Nose: Rich and inviting with aromas of treacle toffees, toasted pecans, sweet raisins and soft smoky highlights.
Palate: Creamy and luxurious with layers of mocha, Brazil nut toffee, fruit cake, candied peels and brandy butter.
Finish: Long and silky with notes of chocolate eclair, creme caramel and hints of clove.
