A unique small batch bottling by handpicking Tomintoul whiskies matured in premium ex-bourbon American oak barrels. These whiskies are then blended and refined in carefully chosen Tawny Port barriques from Portugal. This meticulous 'finishing' technique results in a single malt scotch whisky of remarkable richness, depth, and complexity.
Tasting Note by Tomintoul:
Nose: Indulgent berry fruits, bramble jam and dark chocolate cushioned with nutmeg and cherry liqueur.
Palate: A wash of blackcurrants, blueberries and Black Forest gateau bound with cosy oak spices and mocha coffee.
Finish: Maraschino cherries and thick cut marmalade fading into a clove and cinnamon linger.
