WhistlePig's pioneering approach to finishing is epitomized by their Old World Rye, Aged 12 Years. This 86-proof rye whisky is crafted with Old World sensibilities and represents a fusion of three distinct finishes, each contributing its unique flavor profile. Following a 12-year maturation period in New American Oak, the spirit is divided among three different types of barrels: Madeira (63%), Sauternes (30%), and Port (7%), resulting in a complex and multi-layered whiskey.

Tasting Note by WhistlePig:
Nose: Caramel, vanilla and winter fruits.
Palate: The spicy rye note blends with the sweetness of apricots, plums, grapes, dates and honey.
Finish: Notes of dark chocolate on the finish join winter fruits, caramel and vanilla.
