Kilkerran Heavily Peated is a bold single malt crafted in small batches, released twice yearly at cask strength with around 45PPM of peat. Primarily matured in Bourbon casks, it offers a smoky profile of campfire embers and peat, balanced by notes of custard, key lime pie, rye bread, and a touch of minerality on the finish.
Tasting Note by Kilkerran:Nose: In typical Kilkerran style, there is a citrus element on the nose with notes of lemon and key lime pie, along with touches of toasted rye bread and peat smoke.Palate: There are notes of toasted marshmallows and campfire embers immediately on the palate, with hints of vanilla and custard.Finish: The smokiness carries through to the finish, along with a mineral note to round off this dram.
Springbank 10 Year Old Amontillado Cask Matured is a unique single malt matured for five years in Bourbon barrels, then five years in Amontillado sherry casks. With notes of hazelnut, maraschino cherry, and blood orange on the nose, the palate balances cured meats and tobacco box with hints of coconut and treacle. A dry finish with wood shavings and tarragon complements the distillery's signature sea salt touch. Bottled at 55% ABV, it’s a complex and balanced release in the Sherry series.
