A unique single malt from the budding Lochlea distillery in the Lowlands, exclusively bottled for Inverarity Morton! Established in 2018, this whisky was produced in the distillery's second year and was stored in an ex-red wine hogshead in February 2020. By 2023, 410 bottles were extracted from this cask, with no added colour, no chill filtration, and at a powerful cask strength of 61.2% ABV.

This whiskey, winner of a double gold award in San Francisco, challenges the perception of Irish whiskey. It's light and drinkable yet surprisingly complex. Aged in both American oak Bourbon barrels, which provide honey and vanilla notes, and S barrels, imparting dried fruit and nut flavors. The team at Glendalough personally selects Oloroso cask producers in Montilla, renowned for its PX grape, giving them greater influence over the whiskey's flavors in the Double Barrel release.

Having been matured in classic oak casks for around 8 years, The Arran Single Malt in this release underwent a final maturation in Port casks, acquired from a distinguished Portuguese fortified wine maker.

The GlenDronach Port Wood, a non-age statement expression, draws inspiration from the historical import of casked port into Scotland during the 19th century. In those days, port was highly prized, and the finest port pipes made their way from Portugal to Scotland. Selecting some of the finest port pipes from Portugal's Douro Valley, The GlenDronach embarks on a three-year maturation process. The Master Blender adeptly blends whisky from these port pipes, resulting in a ten year old expression characterised by abundant fruitiness, featuring ripe berries and a hallmark long, lingering finish.
