Aberfeldy 22 Year Old 2001 White Port Finish (Exceptional Cask Series)

Part of Aberfeldy's Exceptional Cask Series, this 22 Year Old White Port Cask Finish is a double cask limited edition personally selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod from the distillery's maturing stock. Filled in November 2001 and transferred to White Port casks in July 2022, it represents one of just 276 bottles — a genuinely rare opportunity to experience Aberfeldy's celebrated honeyed Highland character in a form that will not be repeated. Aberfeldy Distillery was established in 1898 in Perthshire, drawing process water from the Pitilie Burn, a source long associated with alluvial gold deposits and renowned for its purity. Distilled in alembic copper pot stills crafted by Forsyths, the distillery produces a fruity, richly honeyed style that has long defined its reputation as the Golden Dram. Here, that character has spent the majority of its life in refill hogsheads and refill barrels before finishing in White Port casks, which have lent a bright stone fruit lift and delicate floral freshness to the whisky's deep, honeyed foundation. Bottled at natural cask strength of 51.7% without chill-filtration, this is a collector's release of considerable distinction. Tasting Note by Aberfeldy:Delightful interplay of ripe peaches, nectarines and apricots , subtle vanilla undertones slowly emerge, with a zest of orange peel and delicate spices adding a layer of warmth, the cask finish perfectly accentuating the honeyed notes of Aberfeldy.

  • New Release Macallan 18 Year Old 2007 Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release Macallan 18 Year Old 2007 Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release

Macallan 18 Year Old 2007 Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release

The Macallan Diamonds Are Forever 55th Anniversary Release marks a return to one of whisky's most celebrated cultural partnerships, reuniting The Macallan with James Bond to commemorate 55 years since the premiere of Diamonds Are Forever. The whisky was crafted by Whisky Maker Russell Greig, an avid Bond devotee who has translated the film's narrative arc directly into the cask selection, drawing on the film's locations, characters and pivotal scenes as the creative framework for this limited edition release. The cask composition reflects the film's storyline with deliberate precision. American white oak casks represent the Las Vegas and coastal California settings that dominate the picture, while sherry seasoned oak casks pay homage to Bond's connoisseurship of Solera sherry, a moment that surfaces early in the film. A selection of red wine seasoned casks acknowledges a later scene in which Bond's forensic knowledge of wine proves critical to the plot. The cask selection is completed with bespoke hybrid sherry seasoned oak casks, custom crafted from both European and American oak staves within a single cask, an expression of the innovative spirit shared by both Bond and The Macallan. Natural colour and non-chill filtration preserve the whisky's full integrity, and the presentation packaging draws on the film's original creative archive, offering a behind the scenes glimpse into its visual development. This is an unequivocally collection-worthy release. Tasting Note by The Macallan: Nose: Sophisticated notes of sweet polished oak, vanilla bean and rich dried fruits. Palate: Creamy vanilla and caramel, with hints of cocoa powder coated champagne truffles, coffee, dried fruits including figs, berries and apricots, and subtle trailing spices. Finish: Long and refined with a lingering warmth.

    Tamdhu Distinction III

Founded in 1897 beside the River Spey and revived in 2012 by Ian Macleod Distillers, Tamdhu has maintained a singular focus on 100% sherry cask maturation since its founding. The Distinction III is an exclusively UK release that takes that commitment a step further, dedicated entirely to American oak sherry cask maturation from the very beginning of the cask's life through to the final bottling. The Quercus Alba casks begin their journey in the oak forests of North America before being imported into Spain's sherry triangle, where the staves are air-dried in the Mediterranean sun, assembled and toasted by experienced coopers, and seasoned with Oloroso sherry over a period of six years before travelling to Tamdhu. The result is a whisky of exceptional natural colour and rich, fruit-forward depth, available exclusively through specialist retailers in the UK. Glendronach 15 Year Old Sherry Cask Matured

Established in 1826 in the sheltered Valley of Forgue in the Scottish Highlands, The GlenDronach Distillery has maintained an unwavering commitment to traditionally crafted, sherry-matured single malt for nearly two centuries. Founded by James Allardice, the distillery is one of Scotland's most respected producers of richly cask-influenced whisky, and its dunnage warehouses — cool, earthen-floored, and unhurried — provide ideal conditions for the long, patient maturation that defines its house style. The 15 Year Old spends fifteen years maturing exclusively in Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry casks sourced from the bodegas of Andalucía in southern Spain. The additional three years beyond the 12 Year Old expression allows the spirit to draw yet deeper colour and concentration from the wood, building layers of dried fruit and dark confectionery character that few distilleries can match. Beautifully presented and richly sherried, this is an expression well suited to gifting or adding genuine weight to a collection. Tasting Note by GlenDronach:Nose: An intoxicating burst of maraschino cherry, ripe bramble and dark chocolate mint with hints of orange bitters and walnut liqueur.Palate: Honey-glazed apricot and ripe fig with a crescendo of black cherry, angelica, and muscovado.

Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Argentinian Malbec Wine Cask Finish

The Aberfeldy 21 Year Old Argentinian Malbec Cask Finish is the result of a remarkable collaboration between Malt Master Stephanie Macleod and award-winning winemaker Daniel Pi of Finca Ambrosia, one of Argentina's most prestigious estates. Having travelled to the Uco Valley in Argentina, Stephanie personally selected Malbec casks from Finca Ambrosia to bring an entirely new dimension to the Aberfeldy character — a partnership between two masters of their craft that has produced something genuinely distinctive within the distillery's wine cask series. Aberfeldy Distillery was established in 1898 in Perthshire, drawing process water from the gold-laced Pitilie Burn and producing a fruity, richly honeyed Highland single malt in alembic copper pot stills crafted by Forsyths. Here, 21 years of patient maturation have been completed by a finishing period in Malbec wine casks, which lend vivid red fruit character, gentle floral notes and a subtle tartness that sits in elegant balance with the distillery's signature honeyed sweetness. Bottled at 46% ABV, this limited edition release is as well suited to the collector as it is to the enthusiast seeking something beyond the expected. Tasting Note by Aberfeldy: Evolving aromas of juicy strawberries glazed with sweet Highland honey, gently brightened by hints of fresh blackcurrant. This bouquet gives way to delicate floral notes of rose and violet, underscored by a subtle touch of warming cinnamon spice. On the palate, vibrant fruit flavours come alive, gracefully melting into creamy vanilla and concluding with a wonderfully smooth, lingering finish.
