The 2nd Edition of Westland's barley-centric Colere single malt whiskey builds upon the success of its predecessor, the 1st Edition. This release maintains the distillery's commitment to exploring distinct barley varieties, specifically bred with a focus on flavor. For this limited edition, Westland selected Talisman, a 2-row winter barley variety with lineage tracing back to the renowned Marris Otter. A rare small-batch release, this Glenmorangie single malt is the first from the distillery to be finished in Palo Cortado sherry casks. Aged for 12 years, it spent its first eight maturing in American white oak bourbon casks, giving it a smooth, mellow character. Inspired by the rare sweet and nutty notes of Palo Cortado, Dr Bill selected these scarce casks to add a new complexity to Glenmorangie’s refined style. Benriach The Smoky Ten Speyside Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a distinctive expression that pays homage to Benriach's unconventional approach to whisky-making. In the early 1970s, the distillery broke with tradition in Speyside by returning to the old-style method of distilling batches of whisky with malted barley that was smoked with Highland peat.
