Introduced in 1993, the DoubleWood 12 was birthed from a method pioneered by The Balvenie's Malt Master, David Stewart, in 1982—a technique now widely recognized as 'wood finishing'.
To craft The Balvenie DoubleWood, David Stewart MBE begins with whisky aged for at least 12 years in traditional whisky containers, consisting of American Oak ex-bourbon barrels and hogsheads. The 2024 vintage comes from a selection of the estate’s finest plots on schist, clay, and sand terroirs. Grapes are hand-picked, with only free-run juice used. Vinification is carried out at low temperatures in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation to preserve purity. Château d’Esclans Rosé 2022 is the estate wine of Caves d’Esclans, produced entirely from grapes grown on the property. Crafted from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), it is vinified through a combination of stainless steel and barrel fermentation, bringing together freshness and complexity. Harvesting takes place in the cool of the morning to preserve fruit quality, with Optical Eye Sorting ensuring only the best grapes are selected.
The winemaking process includes soft crushing, immediate cooling to retain vivacity, and closed circuit pressing to reduce oxidation. Free run juice is then divided between 600-litre temperature-controlled oak demi-muids and stainless steel tanks. Battonage is carried out twice weekly over eight months before bottling, resulting in a rosé that is smooth and creamy in texture, rich on the palate, and long in finish.

Created by Bill Samuels Jr., it is crafted using fully matured Maker’s Mark bourbon that undergoes an innovative finishing process with ten seared French oak staves. These staves are fitted into the barrel and matured further in the distillery’s limestone cellar, adding new layers of flavour and complexity.
The name “46” comes from the Independent Stave Company’s designation for the specific French oak stave profile used in its creation. The result is a bourbon that remains approachable yet delivers deeper character, balancing sweetness with spice.

Batch 2024-01E continues the tradition, selected from specific barrels in the centre-cut of the rackhouse where maturation conditions yield rich depth and intensity. This release embodies the bold, full-bodied flavour that Booker’s is known for, offering a complex whiskey experience true to its heritage.

First introduced in 1992 by Booker Noe as part of the Small Batch collection, Basil Hayden was crafted to showcase a more subtle side of bourbon. Inspired by Meredith Basil Hayden, Sr., an 18th-century Maryland rye farmer who moved to Kentucky, this bourbon pays tribute to his decision to use a higher percentage of rye in his mash bill. Booker revived this approach, creating a refined, approachable bourbon designed to welcome new drinkers into whiskey while honouring both Hayden’s ingenuity and his own innovation.

Legent is the result of a collaboration between Fred Noe, seventh-generation Master Distiller of Jim Beam, and Suntory’s fifth-ever Chief Blender, Shinji Fukuyo. Crafted from premium grains and Kentucky limestone water, the whiskey begins as Kentucky Straight Bourbon before portions are matured in red wine and sherry casks. Fukuyo then blends these secondary-finished bourbons with classic Kentucky bourbon, merging two traditions into one expression.
This innovative process results in a whiskey that balances the rich sweetness of bourbon with layered notes influenced by wine and sherry oak, creating a refined spirit with remarkable depth.

Project 04 // Inverarity Morton is a limited-edition blended Scotch whisky created in collaboration with Inverarity Morton—a family-run business supporting the whisky trade since 1945. With a focus on bold character and versatility, this malt-forward blend was designed to surprise and delight, whether served neat or in mixed drinks.
Blended in February 2024 and bottled at 49.1% ABV, only 470 bottles were produced. The whisky features an extended finishing period in a yet-to-be-specified cask, chosen to add a final flourish in honour of Inverarity Morton’s ‘extra mile’ ethos.

Crafted from a blend of cask types—including Oloroso sherry butts, American white oak, and seasoned Bourbon barrels—Laphroaig Select balances smoky depth with notes of vanilla, orchard fruit, and a gentle floral edge. Though now superseded by Select Oak, this expression remains a noteworthy chapter in Laphroaig’s evolution—bridging tradition with a more contemporary approach to peated whisky.
