In 2008, Gordon selected 10 refill casks that had been laid down 40 years prior, in 1968. Within these casks, he found a beautifully light-colored spirit, possessing the ethereal and fragrant qualities found only in the oldest and finest whiskies. He transferred the contents of these 10 casks into first-fill sherry-seasoned casks, carefully chosen for the specific character he envisioned, and patiently nurtured the maturing whisky for an additional 14 years until it reached the desired flavor and character.

The 2023 release of Longrow 21 Year Old single malt is a finely crafted whisky from The Springbank Distillery. This edition is a blend of whiskies aged in 65% sherry casks and 35% bourbon casks. Longrow is distinguished by its peated character, achieved through a 48-hour peat drying process of the barley, and is made using the same traditional methods as Springbank. True to the distillery's commitment to authenticity, Longrow is produced entirely in-house, from distillation to bottling, without the addition of color or chill filtration.

The Tomintoul 14 Years Old Cognac Cask Finish, distilled in 2009, began its maturation journey in ex-bourbon American oak casks before receiving a special finish in carefully selected Cognac casks personally sourced by Master Distiller Robert Fleming from France. These Cognac casks have seamlessly enhanced the Tomintoul Single Malt with rich fruit flavours, elevating the whisky's character and complexity. Bottled at a robust 46% abv, it retains its natural colour and avoids chill filtration. This release is limited, with only 8,082 bottles, each uniquely numbered.

These Madeira wine casks have flawlessly complemented the Tomintoul Single Malt, infusing it with rich fruit flavours that enhance the whisky's character and complexity. Laphroaig Triple Wood is a bold and layered Islay single malt, matured through three distinct cask types to achieve remarkable depth and complexity. The whisky begins its journey in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, where it gains sweetness and vanilla notes from the charred wood. It is then transferred to Quarter Casks, smaller vessels inspired by 19th-century traditions, which increase the spirit’s contact with the oak—intensifying flavours of spice, cedar, and dry wood smoke.
Finally, the whisky is given a third maturation in European oak Oloroso sherry casks, adding rich undertones of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warming spice. As with all Laphroaig expressions, the process starts with peated barley and water from the Kilbride Stream, delivering the signature medicinal smoke and coastal character the distillery is known for.

Inspired by Meredith Basil Hayden, Sr., an 18th-century Maryland rye farmer who moved to Kentucky, this bourbon pays tribute to his decision to use a higher percentage of rye in his mash bill. Booker revived this approach, creating a refined, approachable bourbon designed to welcome new drinkers into whiskey while honouring both Hayden’s ingenuity and his own innovation.

These casks create layers of bold spice balanced with sweetness, transporting the drinker to a bustling spice market. It is non-chill filtered and bottled at 46% ABV. This release was awarded Gold at the International Spirits Challenge 2025.

The wood is notoriously difficult to work with, requiring trees over 200 years old and more than 70 cm in diameter to yield usable casks, making each release a rare achievement.

In 1997, the distillery embarked on a remarkable journey by laying down its spirit in the finest bourbon casks. This marked the beginning of one of Dr. Bill's rarest wood experiments. After almost a decade of careful aging, a portion of this spirit was meticulously transferred into Château Montrose red wine casks. Sourced exclusively from the celebrated Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, these casks are so limited in supply that only a few could be obtained. The deep, rich color of the wine previously held in these casks is so profound that it is even reflected in the wood of the whisky's case.
Driven by curiosity, Dr. Bill sought to uncover the unique soft, red fruit notes that these casks could impart to the whisky. Venturing into uncharted territory with a finish never before attempted or replicated at the distillery, he aimed to create a Glenmorangie expression that would stand dramatically apart from the rest.
Thirteen years later, this single malt whisky had evolved into a masterpiece, teeming with extraordinary depths of berry flavors.
