Château d’Esclans Rosé 2022 is the estate wine of Caves d’Esclans, produced entirely from grapes grown on the property. Crafted from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), it is vinified through a combination of stainless steel and barrel fermentation, bringing together freshness and complexity. Harvesting takes place in the cool of the morning to preserve fruit quality, with Optical Eye Sorting ensuring only the best grapes are selected.
The winemaking process includes soft crushing, immediate cooling to retain vivacity, and closed circuit pressing to reduce oxidation. Free run juice is then divided between 600-litre temperature-controlled oak demi-muids and stainless steel tanks. Battonage is carried out twice weekly over eight months before bottling, resulting in a rosé that is smooth and creamy in texture, rich on the palate, and long in finish.

Tasting Note:Nose: Initially sweet, combining sweet peat, oak spices, vanilla, and dried coconut. Evolves to clean smoke, with hints of sea breeze on a warm wooden deck and honeyed peaches and apricots.Palate: Sweet and dry peat smoke, slightly ashy. Sweet spicy oak and honey are prominent, with a hint of coconut. A brief fruity burst is followed by vanilla and honey.Finish: Medium-length finish featuring peat smoke, honey, fruit, and a lasting spicy oak.
The Tomintoul 14 Years Old Cognac Cask Finish, distilled in 2009, began its maturation journey in ex-bourbon American oak casks before receiving a special finish in carefully selected Cognac casks personally sourced by Master Distiller Robert Fleming from France. These Cognac casks have seamlessly enhanced the Tomintoul Single Malt with rich fruit flavours, elevating the whisky's character and complexity. Bottled at a robust 46% abv, it retains its natural colour and avoids chill filtration. This release is limited, with only 8,082 bottles, each uniquely numbered.
Tasting Note by Tomintoul:Nose: Sweet aromas of almond flan, baked apricots, vanilla and cedarwood mingled with dark chocolate and pink peppercorn.Palate: Complex layers of ginger biscuits, sandalwood, muscovado sugar and white chocolate with hints of dark berry fruits, greengage and baking spices.Finish: Warming spices and toasted oak tailing off into a vanilla custard, milk chocolate and roast chestnut linger.
The Bruichladdich Organic Barley 2012, crafted from 100% Scottish barley, epitomizes the synergy between single malt whisky and the land. This barley is cultivated sustainably, without relying on agrochemicals, fertilizers, or pesticides, thereby nurturing the soil in which it grows.
Tasting Note by Bruichladich: Nose: Distinct cereal notes open on the nose, with dried hay, barley straw and malty biscuit. A sweet combination of Crème brûlée, coconut, butterscotch, and vanilla from the oak follow while earthy barley grows over time, enhanced by floral notes and sweet dried apricot and pear.Palate: A creamy texture coats the palate, with a peppery hint of spice followed by floral heather honey. The malty character of the grain comes to the fore, with notes of warm scones and barley straw. The American oak adds an additional layer of sweetness, with fresh vanilla, marzipan and coconut. Adding a drop of water opens up the fruit and oak influence, revealing ripe gooseberry, pear and grapefruit along with sweet honeycomb and fudge.Finish: The malty character of the spirit is unmistakable on the finish, while almond and butterscotch notes from the oak linger.

Milroy's Heavily Peated Virgin Oak is an expertly vatted single malt bottled at 46% ABV, selected by the team at Milroy's of Soho. Bottled without chill-filtration and with no added colour, it draws from a recipe of 40% new oak and 60% first-fill Kentucky bourbon casks, allowing the vibrancy of virgin oak to shine alongside the rustic, coastal peat character of the spirit.
