Tasting Note by Bruichladdich:Nose: Warm peat smoke and red fruits open on the nose, moving to stewed pears, melon and a subtle marine note. Delicate floral notes of rose and geranium follow, with hints of vanilla, honey, leather and toasted oak coming from the wood. The 2023 release of Longrow 21 Year Old single malt is a finely crafted whisky from The Springbank Distillery. This edition is a blend of whiskies aged in 65% sherry casks and 35% bourbon casks. Longrow is distinguished by its peated character, achieved through a 48-hour peat drying process of the barley, and is made using the same traditional methods as Springbank. True to the distillery's commitment to authenticity, Longrow is produced entirely in-house, from distillation to bottling, without the addition of color or chill filtration.

The Corriecravie Edition spirit is initially aged in Bourbon barrels and finished for six months in Oloroso Sherry hogsheads from Jerez, Spain. It uses Concerto malted barley and water from their own borehole. The unique yeast and fermentation period give it a full-bodied flavor. Compared to Kilmory, it has deeper flavors with sweeter spices and rich fruits. It's bottled at 55% ABV without chill filtering or added colour.

In 2008, Gordon selected 10 refill casks that had been laid down 40 years prior, in 1968. Within these casks, he found a beautifully light-colored spirit, possessing the ethereal and fragrant qualities found only in the oldest and finest whiskies. He transferred the contents of these 10 casks into first-fill sherry-seasoned casks, carefully chosen for the specific character he envisioned, and patiently nurtured the maturing whisky for an additional 14 years until it reached the desired flavor and character.
