It's a decent whisky if you can get it discounted.
It's pleasant and easy to drink, with decent depth whilst not being particularly memorable.
I wouldn't pay the full retail price for that, but when it comes on offer it's pleasant enough to consider.
It's peaty, but not like a laphraoig.
It has nice depth and is pretty smooth and balanced. Nice dram.
A very nice easy drinking whisky. Prefer the 12 yr old but this is still a very good whisky. I'm sure some will enjoy more than the 12 yr old as my wife does. Whichever you go for you won't be disappointed.
Nice smooth malt with a big sherry kick. Easy drinking whisky which sadly for me is also enjoyed by my wife. Must get another bottle.
Aa lovely sherried malt. Very smooth with a long lasting taste in mouth. Aromas of figs and Christmas cake. A lovely dram on its own or with a cube of ice.
We had decided to make Tomontoul 10 our next malt of the month at Pillars Bar, Dundee. JPHA were the most keenly priced supplier plus we revived an introductory 5% off. It was delivered in two working days and we were kept up to date constantly. Service could not be bettered by anyone.
It has everything I want in a whisky. Complex, sweetness, viscous, a little 'rancio', I do live that word 😄, and depth.
Bought as an anniversary gift....a classic Highland malt sourced from deepest beautiful Perthshire. A dram to be savoured whilst sitting in ones favourite chair .
Notes of burnt vanilla and candied peel. A delicious unwinding end to a day.
If this Whiskey was in crufts it would be best in show for , looks, flavour and the ability to make me smile with every sip.
Beautiful whiskey, arrived very quickly, and well packaged
I'm a sherry cask guy, not usually a smoke fan, it's really gotta be done right,..I've just ordered a second bottle because it's that good! Lately German supermarkets have introduced "world beating" whisky that have won massive blind tests. .. but those have got flavour, but are 'thin' , and a bit weedy. This English slightly smoked hogshead, is what those wannabes are trying to be. I am gaining massive respect for The English, (..and Cotswolds sherry cask too!). JPHA have consistently given first class service, and offer what supermarkets can only dream about. Fab, keep up the good selection, and mini sample is why I'm back here again!.
Very impressed with the company wirh next day service and kept up to date with delivery times. It was also beautifully packaged and provided miniature bottle of a free sample.
Drink itself is very satisfying with excellent aromas and perfect for the palate, very warm, soothing and satisfying drink. Would definitely recommend it.
With the cost of Islay single malts going through the roof this blended malt is a marvelous alternative for the budget conscious.
At 46% ABV with no added colour or chill filtering it tastes superb.
I try to keep a bottle of this handy for when I just want a night cap; to keep me from demolishing my more expensive single malts.
This was on offer for £26 - At that price it's a must buy.
Beautiful flavour with a very slight peatiness and quite light compared to the Bunnahabhain 12 which is heavier with a lot stronger nose and sherry bomb flavour but is still highly enjoyable and recommended
