The Glentauchers 12-Year-Old 2010, selected by Milroy's, is a single malt that was initially matured in a refill hogshead before being reracked into a first-fill Manzanilla hogshead for further aging. This whisky, distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022, has an alcohol by volume (ABV) of 56.3%. This particular expression was limited to just 251 bottles, making it a rare and collectible release.

The 2nd Edition of Westland's barley-centric Colere single malt whiskey builds upon the success of its predecessor, the 1st Edition. This release maintains the distillery's commitment to exploring distinct barley varieties, specifically bred with a focus on flavor. For this limited edition, Westland selected Talisman, a 2-row winter barley variety with lineage tracing back to the renowned Marris Otter. The whiskey is matured in refill casks, allowing the intrinsic qualities of the barley to take center stage, resulting in a unique and character-driven expression.

The exceptional Loch Lomond single malt undergoes maturation in their finest American Oak barrels. Before bottling, it is married for up to three months, imparting a unique complexity to the final product. This unique expression underwent a two-stage maturation process, beginning in refill American oak casks and then concluding with a fascinating finish in Cognac casks, culminating in a 19-year-old bottling. Cognac casks are known for their potent influence on flavor, sometimes overpowering, but Glendullan has masterfully struck a balance here. Instead of dominating the profile, the Cognac finishing delicately seasons the whisky, enhancing its character in a truly delectable manner.
Tasting Note by Singleton:Nose: Mild in feel, the nose shines with top notes of dried fruits suggesting dried figs and apricots or crystalised angelica and orange peel, while beneath this there is the dry scent of a light fruitcake, iced with spirited notes of vanilla-scented marzipan. More buttery notes emerge with a drop of water, which also brings up the spiciness.Palate: A soft, smooth and mouth-filling texture, oaky-dry at first, brings out layers of richly fruity flavouring which a lusciously sweet taste of ripe green apple is enriched by exotic hints of grape spirit and sweet coconut. A little water enhances the effect.Finish: Lengthy and warming, waxing sweet and faintly savoury with a trace of ginger spice and the merest touch of smoke.
This release is the second in a distinguished five-part sherry series from the distillery. Distilled in July 2013, it underwent a unique maturation process. Initially, it spent six years in refill bourbon barrels, followed by a further four years in freshly made Palo Cortado hogsheads crafted from American oak. In September 2023, this meticulously aged whisky was bottled, yielding a limited run of just 10,200 bottles.
