  • Sale -3%New Arrival Ilegal Mezcal Reposado Ilegal Mezcal Reposado

    Ilegal Mezcal Reposado

Ilegal Mezcal is produced in Oaxaca, Mexico, where traditional Espadín agave cultivation and artisanal production methods have shaped the region's distilling identity for centuries. Founded by John Rexer, Ilegal began as a passion project before establishing itself as one of the most decorated mezcal brands in the world, earning recognition from Esquire and gold medals at both the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and the Tequila.net Awards. Each batch of the Reposado is aged to taste for six months rather than to a fixed bottling date, using a combination of new and used American oak barrels with a medium char, sourced from Kelvin Cooperage, a family-run business since 1963. The result is a velvety, approachable mezcal that retains the wild agave character of the spirit whilst gaining a gentle layer of oak refinement. Tasting Note by Ilegal Mezcal: Caramelised pear and bitter orange on the nose. Clove, butterscotch, and hints of vanilla on the palate.

Yamazaki 18 Year Old Mizunara Japanese Oak Cask (2025 Release)

As part of the Mizunara Series, this expression represents a core extension of the Yamazaki brand, highlighting the artistry and rarity of Japanese Mizunara oak. Known for its distinctive aroma and flavour, Mizunara has been integral to Yamazaki since the 1940s, when scarcity of American oak after the war led to its adoption. The wood is notoriously difficult to work with, requiring trees over 200 years old and more than 70 cm in diameter to yield usable casks, making each release a rare achievement. Matured exclusively in Mizunara oak for 18 years, this whisky captures the complexity and depth associated with Japan’s most elusive cask type. The Mizunara oak imparts notes of sandalwood, agarwood, and oriental spice, complementing Yamazaki’s refined character. • New Arrival Laphroaig Triple Wood Laphroaig Triple Wood

    Laphroaig Triple Wood

Laphroaig Triple Wood is a bold and layered Islay single malt, matured through three distinct cask types to achieve remarkable depth and complexity. The whisky begins its journey in American oak ex-Bourbon barrels, where it gains sweetness and vanilla notes from the charred wood. It is then transferred to Quarter Casks, smaller vessels inspired by 19th-century traditions, which increase the spirit’s contact with the oak—intensifying flavours of spice, cedar, and dry wood smoke. Finally, the whisky is given a third maturation in European oak Oloroso sherry casks, adding rich undertones of dried fruit, dark chocolate, and warming spice. As with all Laphroaig expressions, the process starts with peated barley and water from the Kilbride Stream, delivering the signature medicinal smoke and coastal character the distillery is known for. Tasting Note by Laphroaig:Nose: Sweet raisins and creamy apricots, nuttiness, bonfire ash and earthy peat.Palate: Creamy flavours of vanilla and fruit, with a suggestion of sherry sweetness.Finish: Mouth-filling and extremely long, balanced by a sweet smooth caramel taste.

  • Sale -29% Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 - JPHA Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997 - JPHA

    Glenmorangie Grand Vintage 1997

In 1997, the distillery embarked on a remarkable journey by laying down its spirit in the finest bourbon casks. This marked the beginning of one of Dr. Bill's rarest wood experiments. After almost a decade of careful aging, a portion of this spirit was meticulously transferred into Château Montrose red wine casks. Sourced exclusively from the celebrated Saint-Estèphe appellation of Bordeaux, these casks are so limited in supply that only a few could be obtained. The deep, rich color of the wine previously held in these casks is so profound that it is even reflected in the wood of the whisky's case. Driven by curiosity, Dr. Bill sought to uncover the unique soft, red fruit notes that these casks could impart to the whisky. Venturing into uncharted territory with a finish never before attempted or replicated at the distillery, he aimed to create a Glenmorangie expression that would stand dramatically apart from the rest. Thirteen years later, this single malt whisky had evolved into a masterpiece, teeming with extraordinary depths of berry flavors. Encouraged by this remarkable transformation, Dr. Bill embarked on the complex task of marrying various casks to enhance the whisky's unique taste. He skillfully combined whisky aged solely in bourbon casks to highlight Glenmorangie's signature citrus notes. Whisky finished for extended periods in oloroso sherry casks contributed layers of sweetness and spicy finesse, while a carefully selected array of secret casks added their distinct influence. After maturing for a total of 23 years, Glenmorangie Grand Vintage Malt 1997 now overflows with the luscious flavors of red fruits and candied sweetness, a true testament to the artistry and dedication that define its creation. Tasting Note by Glenmorangie:Nose: Astonishing, perfumed and fruity complexity. Floral notes of rose, jasmine and carnation intermingle with soft red fruits, mint toffee, pastry or cake mix and a sweet confectionery top note. With water, even more soft, floral top notes like roses and carnations emerge, with a very subtle spiciness like sweet chilli, clove and ginger.Palate: A slightly tingly, gently spicy mouthfeel is followed by a symphony of sweet candy flavours, more soft red fruits, pineapple chunks and a taste reminiscent of pears and mandarin segments in fruit jelly. There are sweet ginger and chilli notes, gentle almond marzipan and vanilla toffee apple.Finish: Sweet, rich, long and gently spicy.
