Distilled in 2002, the whisky spent the majority of its maturation in refill and rechar hogsheads before being transferred in 2019 to Pauillac red wine casks from Bordeaux, a region celebrated for wines of both elegance and power. Home to iconic estates such as Château Mouton-Rothschild, Château Latour, and Château Lafite-Rothschild, Pauillac is known for wines with cassis, blackberry, tobacco, spice, and cedar notes.
