Maker’s Mark 46 was the first major new release from the distillery since the original Maker’s Mark in 1958. Created by Bill Samuels Jr., it is crafted using fully matured Maker’s Mark bourbon that undergoes an innovative finishing process with ten seared French oak staves. These staves are fitted into the barrel and matured further in the distillery’s limestone cellar, adding new layers of flavour and complexity.
