    MacPhail's 50 Year Old

Gordon & MacPhail MacPhail's 50 Year Old is a single malt Scotch whisky matured for five decades in carefully selected oak casks. Part of the MacPhail's Range, this expression reflects the independent bottler's longstanding expertise in cask selection and extended whisky maturation. For more than 125 years, Gordon & MacPhail has worked with Scottish distilleries to mature and bottle single malt Scotch whisky. The MacPhail's Range continues this tradition, focusing on the relationship between spirit, oak and time. For this 50 Year Old expression, the identity of the originating distillery remains undisclosed, adding an element of mystery to the whisky's provenance. The casks were produced to Gordon & MacPhail's exact specifications, allowing the whisky to develop its character over 50 years of maturation. The resulting expression combines mature sherry influences with rich dried fruit, chocolate and spice characteristics. Its extended ageing demonstrates the influence of carefully managed oak maturation on the complexity and structure of a long-aged single malt. Tasting Notes by Gordon & MacPhail:Nose: Stewed dark fruits, warm cinnamon, milk chocolate and demerara sugar with subtle cigar box undertones. Beeswax polish and aged leather.Taste: Vibrant orange, black pepper and sweet dried tobacco flavours with hints of apple, milk chocolate and spices.Finish: Lingering, full and well balanced with spice and oak.

  • New Release Craigellachie 30 Year Old 1995 Oloroso Cask #4573 (Exceptional Cask Series) Craigellachie 30 Year Old 1995 Oloroso Cask #4573 (Exceptional Cask Series)

Craigellachie 30 Year Old 1995 Oloroso Cask #4573 (Exceptional Cask Series)

On 19 September 1995, new spirit was filled into a single Oloroso sherry cask at Craigellachie in Speyside. That was almost two decades before the distillery launched its single malt range in 2014. For thirty years the cask sat undisturbed in oak, monitored over time by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod, until she judged it ready. Built as the rock in the heart of Speyside in 1891, Craigellachie has always done things the old-fashioned way: worm tub condensers, oil-fired kilning, no chill filtration and no added colour. That uncompromising approach is the foundation of every bottle in the Exceptional Cask Series. Cask #4573 was bottled straight from the cask at 56.9% ABV with no water added. It filled 426 bottles. There will never be more. Every one of them is at JPHA. For collectors and those who appreciate whisky of genuine provenance, this is as singular as it gets. Tasting Note by Craigellachie:Rich orchard fruits, toasted cereal and creamy vanilla, with hints of aniseed, soft leather and a zesty orange peel finish.

Royal Brackla 23 Year Old 2000 Tokaji White Wine Finish (Exceptional Cask Series)

Distilled on 12th July 2000 and matured for two decades in a refill puncheon, this double cask expression was finished in a Tokaji (white wine) cask from 12th August 2021, chosen and overseen personally by Royal Brackla's Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod. Royal Brackla holds a unique place in whisky history as the first single malt ever granted a Royal Warrant, earning it the name "The King's Own Whisky." Founded in 1812 by Captain William Fraser, the distillery's Highland character has always leaned toward the elegant and the fruit-driven, qualities this cask brings fully into focus. The Tokaji finish draws on Hungary's celebrated dessert wine tradition, known for its botrytis-affected grapes and concentrated, honeyed sweetness. That influence shows clearly here: ripe peaches and apricots up front, mellowed by frangipane and a soft, lingering note of coconut. This is a double cask bottling from a single distillation date. 258 bottles exist worldwide, and there's no second batch behind this specific cask pairing.Tasting Note by Royal Brackla:Deliciously supple with ripe peaches and apricots, mellowed with fragipane and soft coconut.

Tobermory 27 Year Old Oloroso Cask Finish (Expression 5)

Tobermory 27 Year Old is the fifth and final expression in the distillery’s Hebridean Series, bringing the collection to a close with its oldest and most powerful release. Initially matured in ex-bourbon casks, the whisky spent a further 12 years in González Byass Oloroso sherry casks, developing a rich and concentrated character while retaining Tobermory’s distinctive fruit-led style. Bottled at 53.1% ABV, it is also the highest-strength expression of the later Hebridean releases. The extended Oloroso maturation brings layers of dark fruit, warming spice and mature oak, complemented by brighter notes of apricot, orange and pineapple. At 27 years old, it represents the culmination of the series’ progression through increasingly long periods of sherry maturation. Presented as Expression 5, Tobermory 27 Year Old is a fitting final chapter for collectors of the Hebridean Series and an impressive example of long-aged, heavily sherried Tobermory. • New Release Laphroaig 35 Year Old Strong Characters (Dugald Johnston Chapter 2) Laphroaig 35 Year Old Strong Characters (Dugald Johnston Chapter 2)

Laphroaig 35 Year Old Strong Characters (Dugald Johnston Chapter 2)

The second release in Laphroaig's Strong Characters series celebrates Dugald Johnston, one of the figures who helped shape the distillery's history. Following the death of his father Donald Johnston in 1847, Dugald took responsibility for Laphroaig at an extraordinarily young age. Before he was 21, he had learned the complexities of Laphroaig whisky production and farm management, later helping to grow the distillery in both size and reputation. Chapter 2 tells his story through a 35 Year Old Laphroaig, matured in the distillery's signature American oak casks, barrels and hogsheads. After three and a half decades of maturation, the whisky retains Laphroaig's unmistakable character, with peat smoke and spice developing into a creamy mouthfeel alongside fruit and oak. The presentation is an important part of the release. Laphroaig commissioned award winning British illustrator Bill Bragg, who spent time sketching on Islay and immersing himself in island life before creating the artwork that brings Dugald Johnston's story to life. Combining 35 year old Laphroaig, distillery heritage and commissioned artwork, Strong Characters Chapter 2 continues the collectible series that began with Donald Johnston in Chapter 1. • New Arrival Valdespino Vermouth Origen Valdespino Vermouth Origen

    Valdespino Vermouth Origen

Valdespino Vermouth Origen is a Jerez vermouth built around the longstanding connection between Valdespino’s sherry wines and The Macallan’s oak cask programme. Its base uses sherry wines specifically selected for seasoning virgin oak casks destined to mature The Macallan Single Malt, meaning the vermouth represents the first liquid to interact with these casks before their journey to Scotland. Inspired by a Valdespino recipe dating to the 1920s, Origen combines the character of Oloroso sherry with Moscatel and a selection of botanicals and spices. The result brings together citrus and spice with the oxidative richness of sherry, balanced by a measured bitterness and gentle sweetness. The maturation provides an unusual link between Jerez and Scotch whisky production. Rather than simply using an ex-whisky cask, Origen is connected to the beginning of The Macallan's cask journey, through the sherry seasoning process that prepares oak casks before they are subsequently used for whisky maturation. Tasting Note by Valdespino:Nose: Rich and intense spices intertwine with notes of caramelised citrus fruits, layered over a delicate backdrop of sherry aged in oak casks.Palate: Well-balanced and harmonious, full-bodied, with fresh citrus notes woven together with gentle spices and a refined bitterness — a subtle legacy of the oak casks of The Macallan. Deliciously rich, it reveals a long, smooth finish.

As part of the Mizunara Series, this expression represents a core extension of the Yamazaki brand, highlighting the artistry and rarity of Japanese Mizunara oak. Known for its distinctive aroma and flavour, Mizunara has been integral to Yamazaki since the 1940s, when scarcity of American oak after the war led to its adoption. The wood is notoriously difficult to work with, requiring trees over 200 years old and more than 70 cm in diameter to yield usable casks, making each release a rare achievement. • Sale -10%New Arrival Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve

Glenfiddich 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve

Established in 1887 by William Grant in Dufftown, Speyside, Glenfiddich remains family-owned across five generations and has long paired its tradition of independent craft with a genuine spirit of experimentation. The distillery's Malt Master Brian Kinsman has overseen the development of expressions that push the boundaries of what Speyside single malt can offer, and the 14 Year Old Bourbon Barrel Reserve is one of the clearest demonstrations of his approach to cask management and finishing. After fourteen years of maturation in ex-Bourbon American oak casks, which draw out the distillery's characteristic fresh fruit character alongside developing layers of vanilla and caramel sweetness, Kinsman transfers selected parcels to charred new American oak barrels for a final finishing period. The use of new wood at this stage, still unusual in Scotch whisky production, adds a deeper layer of toasted oak richness and spice that elevates the expression beyond a conventional Speyside profile. Aberfeldy 22 Year Old 2001 White Port Finish (Exceptional Cask Series)

Part of Aberfeldy's Exceptional Cask Series, this 22 Year Old White Port Cask Finish is a double cask limited edition personally selected by Malt Master Stephanie Macleod from the distillery's maturing stock. Filled in November 2001 and transferred to White Port casks in July 2022, it represents one of just 276 bottles — a genuinely rare opportunity to experience Aberfeldy's celebrated honeyed Highland character in a form that will not be repeated. Aberfeldy Distillery was established in 1898 in Perthshire, drawing process water from the Pitilie Burn, a source long associated with alluvial gold deposits and renowned for its purity. Distilled in alembic copper pot stills crafted by Forsyths, the distillery produces a fruity, richly honeyed style that has long defined its reputation as the Golden Dram. Here, that character has spent the majority of its life in refill hogsheads and refill barrels before finishing in White Port casks, which have lent a bright stone fruit lift and delicate floral freshness to the whisky's deep, honeyed foundation. Bottled at natural cask strength of 51.7% without chill-filtration, this is a collector's release of considerable distinction. Tasting Note by Aberfeldy:Delightful interplay of ripe peaches, nectarines and apricots , subtle vanilla undertones slowly emerge, with a zest of orange peel and delicate spices adding a layer of warmth, the cask finish perfectly accentuating the honeyed notes of Aberfeldy.

    Tamdhu Distinction III

Founded in 1897 beside the River Spey and revived in 2012 by Ian Macleod Distillers, Tamdhu has maintained a singular focus on 100% sherry cask maturation since its founding. The Distinction III is an exclusively UK release that takes that commitment a step further, dedicated entirely to American oak sherry cask maturation from the very beginning of the cask's life through to the final bottling. The Quercus Alba casks begin their journey in the oak forests of North America before being imported into Spain's sherry triangle, where the staves are air-dried in the Mediterranean sun, assembled and toasted by experienced coopers, and seasoned with Oloroso sherry over a period of six years before travelling to Tamdhu. The result is a whisky of exceptional natural colour and rich, fruit-forward depth, available exclusively through specialist retailers in the UK. Tasting Note by Tamdhu:Nose: Shortbread dipped in vanilla cream, oak, citrus and peppermint.Palate: Rich, soft oak coats the mouth – giving way to plums and chocolate limes.Finish: Unshakeable sherried oak fades to dried cherries and honeycomb.

  • Perfect Gift Dewar's 21 Year Old Double Double Dewar's 21 Year Old Double Double

Dewar's 21 Year Old Double Double

Named the world's best blended Scotch at the 2025 World Whiskies Awards, the Dewar's Double Double 21 Year Old is the result of a method most distilleries have never attempted. The Double Double sequence uses four casks — not in parallel, but in order. Bourbon first, to lay the foundation. Sherry second, for dark fruit and depth. Marsala third, adding richness no single finish can reach. Finally, Madeira — a fortified wine cask almost absent from Scotch production — closes the sequence with a warmth collectors specifically seek and rarely find. Twenty-one years for the sequence to complete. Bottled at 46% ABV, non-chill filtered. Nothing removed that belongs in it. The result is velvety and unhurried — deep notes of ripe fruit, sweet honey, and dark chocolate, with a sherried finish that lingers long after the glass is empty. Tasting Note by Dewar's: Nose: Sweet stone fruits, golden honey, creamy vanilla and subtle citrus zest. Palate: Smooth white chocolate, delicate cinnamon spice and layered dried fruit with nutty undertones. Finish: Long and silky, with a refined balance of fruit, oak sweetness and the gentle warmth of sherry.

Teeling Wonders of Wood 3 Single Pot Still Virgin Swedish Oak with Exclusive Teeling Flat Cap

Founded in 2015 in the Liberties district of Dublin, Teeling Whiskey Company represents a revival of distilling in the Irish capital after a hiatus of over 125 years. The Wonders of Wood series is a limited edition collection that places cask influence at the centre of each release, exploring the contribution that less conventional wood types make to Irish single pot still whiskey. This third edition continues that exploration with a maturation entirely in virgin Swedish oak, a cask type rarely employed in Irish whiskey production. The whiskey itself is crafted from a recipe of equal parts malted and unmalted barley, triple distilled in Teeling's copper pot stills in Dublin in the traditional single pot still style. Full maturation in virgin Swedish oak casks, rather than a finishing period, means the wood's influence is woven throughout the spirit rather than layered on at the final stage. Bottled at 50% ABV without chill filtration, this is a limited release of genuine character and a compelling addition to any collection of contemporary Irish whiskey. This bottle comes with a complimentary Teeling Paddy Cap — a tweed flat cap embroidered with the official Teeling Whiskey logo. A ready-made St. Patrick's Day gift. Tasting Note by Teeling:Nose: Light floral notes with citrus fruits, hints of caramel and cooked barley.Palate: Rich and full flavoured with herbs, candied ginger, almond and treacle.Finish: Dry finish with light black pepper spice and nutmeg.
