Introducing the second edition in Arran's Signature Series, this 11 Year Old Single Malt has been matured to perfection. The spirit, with a peat level of 42ppm, was initially aged in ex-Bourbon barrels for five and a half years, before undergoing a further maturation of five and a half years in 115-litre Quarter Casks. This exceptional whisky has been specially selected by Stewart Bowman and carries his personal seal of approval. It was distilled and matured at the Lochranza Distillery. Released in extremely limited batches, only 350 bottles of Mortlach Midnight Malt are available each year, making it a rare and coveted addition to any whisky collection.
Tasting Note by Mortlach:Nose: A mellow nose with some initial prickle. This settles in time to reveal a savoury and faintly herbal top note, suggesting pork crackling sprinkled with dry sage. Beneath lies a deeper, more vinous note with intriguing and rich notes of dark rum, toffee brittle and drying traces of chocolate.Palate: A richly winey, apple fruity and mouth-watering start delights the palate, backed by a long spicy intensity with a delicious black pepper note that really persists.Finish: Long, sweet, and deep-flavoured with a light peppery spiciness. Distilled in 1999, this whisky was sequentially matured in three types of sherry casks—Amontillado on 4 November 2009, Oloroso on 20 June 2011, and Manzanilla on 12 September 2016. The result is a splendid burst of sherry character, enriched with notes of creamy fudge, vanilla pods, and a hint of tobacco. This distinctive dram is exceptionally rare, with only 4,002 individually numbered bottles available worldwide. It combines the finest sherry finishes synonymous with Bunnahabhain—Amontillado, Manzanilla, and Oloroso—and is presented at cask strength with an ABV of 53.3%. True to its Islay origins, it is unpeated, with no added colour and is non-chill filtered.

This unpeated Islay whisky features an ABV of 58.7%, is non-chill filtered, and has no added colour, highlighting its natural quality and craftsmanship.
