Inspired by the rugged beauty of Traigh Bhan, the sixth batch captures the essence of the island's mysterious shores. Gentle hints of olive oil, tar, and chocolate ginger biscuit greet the senses, with a touch of peat smoke emerging with water. A bold wave of dark chocolate and smoked pineapple follows. The finish lingers with rich notes of coffee and liquorice.
Tasting Note by Ardbeg:Nose: A very curious hint of olive oil greets you, along with touches of tar, soot, chocolate ginger and even some freshly mown grass. Water opens the bouquet up to revel some more classic Ardbeg notes, with fennel, peppermint, eucalyptus, and tarry rope to the fore.Palate: The mouthfeel is slightly oily, and is followed by an intense, minty sweetness, along with some toasting bread, creosote, coal tar soap and even a whiff of smoked pineapple. The deep, rich, flavours continue, with dark chocolate, peppermint creams, bonfire embers and camphor.Finish: The finish is reminiscent of coffee grounds and liquorice.
