This exclusive single cask, aged in a former Spanish wine hogshead, was handpicked by master blender Rachel Barrie for the distillery's Rare Cask Releases.

The single malt selected for this special release was distilled in 2006 and initially matured in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak casks stored in Glencadam's historic dunnage warehouses. Afterward, the single malt was expertly blended and further matured in Pedro Ximénez Sherry quarter casks from Andalucía, Spain, which added distinct flavours, enriching the complexity of the Glencadam Single Malt. Bottled at a robust 46% alc/vol, maintaining its natural colour and avoiding chill filtration, this limited release consists of only 4,188 bottles, each bearing its individual number.
Tasting Note by Glencadam:Nose: Indulgent aromas of sticky toffee pudding, black cherries, salted caramel and maple syrup mingled with dark berry fruits and cocoa powder.Palate: Rich layers of Black Forest gateaux, blackcurrant liquorice, cappuccino and crème caramel married with dates, prunes and sweet spices.Finish: Chocolate cherry liqueurs, frangipane tarts and golden raisins fading into espresso coffee and cosy cake spices.
The 12 Year Old Aberfeldy is a delightful spirit, presenting a sweet honey touch intermingled with notes of fruit, spices, ample vanilla, and a faint wisp of smoke. Its intricate flavor profile results from maturing in a diverse assortment of Sherry, Bourbon, re-fill, and re-char casks. An interesting aspect of its aging process is the 'Angels' Share', which refers to the portion of whisky that vanishes during its time in oak casks, with nearly one-third of the Aberfeldy 12 Year Old being lost before bottling. This exceptional whisky, known as the Golden Dram, has received global recognition, clinching over 150 Gold Medals from leading spirit competitions.

Adam Hannett, the Head Distiller, has expertly selected casks that previously housed Oloroso and Amarone from Spain and Italy's esteemed wine regions for the Octomore 14.2. This unique combination lends a distinct sweetness and nuttiness, resulting in an exceptional single malt. The whisky is then aged in French oak, adding substantial depth and complexity. Octomore's iconic peak smoke harmonises well with the Oloroso sherry casks, infusing a robust, savoury flavour. Additionally, the Amarone casks contribute significantly, imparting rich red fruit notes, which provide structure and coherence to the 14.2 blend.
Tasting Note by Bruichladdich:Nose: Leather, prunes, red currants and malted barley come to the fore, followed by toasted oak and hints of cinnamon, green apple and black pepper. Waves of smoke and distinct red fruits follow, complemented with cereal notes of malt and porridge. The peat smoke is dry and brooding, with a hint of burnt heather and subtle pipe tobacco from the oak.Palate: The influence of the European oak is unmissable, with a touch of dryness balanced with the vibrancy of wood spices, smoked oak and roasted coffee. Barbeque sweetness and a crack of black pepper is complemented with rich fruit cake and dried fruits. There is an unmistakable earthy smokiness and a hint of citrus, with lemon meringue pie cutting through rich barbeque pork.Palate: Bright citrus, smoke and a distinct minerality come through on the palate, followed by charred oak and beach bonfire embers. Toffee and creamy vanilla are balanced with the earthy smoke, with bright notes of pear, gooseberry fool and green apple simultaneously adding brightness and depth. The 2023 release of Longrow 21 Year Old single malt is a finely crafted whisky from The Springbank Distillery. This edition is a blend of whiskies aged in 65% sherry casks and 35% bourbon casks. Longrow is distinguished by its peated character, achieved through a 48-hour peat drying process of the barley, and is made using the same traditional methods as Springbank. True to the distillery's commitment to authenticity, Longrow is produced entirely in-house, from distillation to bottling, without the addition of color or chill filtration.

This limited edition Hazelburn from Springbank presents a unique small batch release. Known for being un-peated and triple-distilled, this Hazelburn variant has matured for 15 years exclusively in an Oloroso sherry cask. It's bottled at a robust 55.8% ABV and, in line with Springbank's dedication to authenticity, comes with no added color and no chill filtration.

Batch 9 of Kilkerran's Heavily Peated single malt is a highly sought-after small batch release, composed of 90% bourbon and 10% sherry casks. Bottled at 59.2% ABV without chill filtration or added color, it offers a genuine taste of Campbeltown's smokier whiskys.

This release is the second in a distinguished five-part sherry series from the distillery. Distilled in July 2013, it underwent a unique maturation process.
