Established in 1812 near Cawdor in the Scottish Highlands, Royal Brackla holds a distinction shared by very few distilleries in Scotland. In 1833 it became the first distillery to be granted a Royal Warrant, bestowed by King William IV, earning it the enduring title of The King's Own Whisky. That heritage of quality and craftsmanship underpins every expression released under the Royal Brackla name, and this 19 Year Old Exceptional Cask release is a particularly fine example of the distillery's considered approach to maturation.
Limited to just 1,170 bottles, this small batch release has been matured in carefully selected casks before a finishing period in Oloroso sherry casks adds a further layer of richness and complexity. Bottled at 54.9% ABV, non-chill filtered and naturally coloured, it is presented in the fullest expression of the distillery's traditional style. A release of genuine rarity, it merits consideration from serious collectors and makes a distinguished gift for those who appreciate provenance and craft in equal measure.

Established in 1779 on the shores of Loch Indaal on Islay, Bowmore is one of Scotland's oldest distilleries and one of the few remaining to operate its own traditional floor maltings, where barley is turned by hand over peat fires cut from the island's ancient bogs. The distillery's No.1 Vaults, which sit below sea level at the water's edge, provide some of the most distinctive maturation conditions in Scotland, where the cool, damp air and the proximity of the sea exert a quiet but unmistakable influence on every cask stored within. It is this union of place, peat and time that defines Bowmore's character across all its expressions.
The 2022 Annual Release of the 30 Year Old is a rare and limited expression, nurtured over three unhurried decades in Sherry hogsheads and Bourbon barrels, a combination that builds extraordinary complexity whilst allowing Bowmore's fabled peat smoke to evolve into something refined and deeply integrated. Inspired by the terrain surrounding the distillery, from the detailed markings of driftwood to the polished translucence of sea glass, this release reflects the distillery's eternal connection with the Islay landscape. As a collector's release and as a gift for a truly significant occasion, the 2022 30 Year Old is among the most considered propositions in the premium single malt category.

The 2005 Vintage represents 18 years of careful maturation, bottled in 2023 at natural colour and non-chill filtered to preserve full integrity of flavour.

The distillery's unique and patented Cask Tracking System follows every cask from cooperage to warehouse, ensuring complete chain of custody from the bodegas of Jerez de la Frontera in southern Spain through to the Speyside warehouses where the spirit quietly matures. That precision and provenance is the foundation upon which every expression in the range is built.
The Double Cask 12 Year Old is matured for a minimum of twelve years in a combination of sherry seasoned American oak and sherry seasoned European oak casks, both prepared at The Macallan's own cooperages and bodegas in Jerez. The American oak contributes its characteristic sweetness and vanilla freshness, whilst the European oak brings the deeper dried fruit and soft spice notes more familiar from the classic Sherry Oak style. Founded in 1892 by William Grant in Dufftown, Speyside, The Balvenie has long been defined by its commitment to traditional craftsmanship and the mastery of wood. The distillery maintains its own floor maltings, cooperage and coppersmith team, and its succession of Malt Masters has built a body of work that places cask management at the very centre of the whisky making process. It was Honorary Ambassador and former Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE who first developed the technique of wood finishing in 1982, a practice now widely used across the industry but originating here on the Balvenie Estate.
First released in 1996 and considered by many to be David C. Stewart's finest creation, the PortWood 21 Year Old brings together a marriage of rare Balvenie whiskies that have been matured for over two decades in traditional American oak whisky casks before being transferred to port pipes, the large casks used to age fine port wines. The port cask finishing stage is sampled regularly by the Malt Master to ensure the right degree of character is imparted, enhancing and developing the spirit whilst preserving the depth and complexity built over twenty-one years. The result is a single malt of genuine refinement, recognised by an array of industry awards since its launch. An outstanding collector's expression and a gift of real distinction for a milestone occasion.

Distilled on the storm-swept southern shore of Islay, Laphroaig has been producing some of the world's most recognisable and uncompromising single malts since 1815. The distillery's defining character comes from its own floor maltings, where barley is dried over a peat fire cut from the mossy bogs directly behind the buildings, and from the cold Atlantic air that shapes every cask as it matures in the warehouses facing the sea. That combination of place, process and patience is what makes Laphroaig one of the most distinctive addresses in Scotch whisky.
Batch 17 of the Cask Strength expression is bottled without chill-filtration or water reduction, preserving the full natural character of the spirit exactly as it leaves the barrel. At 58.3% ABV, this is Laphroaig at its most direct and unadulterated, a release that rewards those who want to explore the distillery's signature interplay of sweet fruit, coastal salinity and deep Islay peat. Founded in 1881 on the remote northern shore of Islay, Bunnahabhain sits at the end of a single-track road on the Sound of Islay, making it one of the most isolated and characterful distilleries in Scotland. Its unusually tall, pear-shaped stills with elongated swan necks produce a lighter, oilier spirit than its Islay neighbours, and the distillery is notably one of the few on the island to work with unpeated barley. Mineral-rich water drawn from the Margadale Spring, sea air rolling in off the Sound, and a philosophy of non-chill filtration without added colour define the Bunnahabhain house style across every expression.
Turas Math No.1 is the opening release in the Westering Home Collection, a three-part series rooted in the distillery's maritime heritage. The second parcel matured for a decade in refill casks before receiving a five-year finish in Amarone wine casks from the Veneto region of Italy. At eighteen years, the spirit has spent long enough in wood to develop genuine weight and complexity whilst retaining the fresh orchard fruit character that is distinctly Glenfiddich.
The 18 Year Old is married in small batches of no more than 150 individually numbered casks, a process overseen with care to ensure extraordinary consistency across every release. The intense marrying period allows the whiskies from individual casks to fully integrate before bottling, producing a Flagship Collection expression that balances the richness of long maturation with the precision of small batch craft. Founded in 1892 by William Grant in Dufftown, at the heart of Speyside, The Balvenie is one of Scotland's most craft-focused distilleries, maintaining its own floor maltings, cooperage and coppersmith team on site. It is a place where traditional methods have been preserved not as a point of heritage but as a genuine commitment to quality, and that philosophy runs through every expression in the range. The distillery's Malt Master lineage is among the most celebrated in the industry, with David C. Stewart MBE spending over five decades shaping its character before passing the role to Kelsey McKechnie.
DoubleWood 12 was launched in 1993, built on a wood finishing technique pioneered by David C. Stewart in 1982 that has since become widely adopted across the industry. The whisky first matures in traditional whisky oak casks, which impart warming vanilla and gentle spice, before being transferred to European oak Sherry casks for a further period of maturation that adds fruity, honeyed depth and greater complexity. The whiskies are then married for three to four months in large oak tuns to allow full integration before bottling. A Global Wine and Spirit Winner in 2016, DoubleWood 12 is one of the most approachable and consistently praised expressions in the Speyside canon, and a reliable choice for gifting or as an introduction to The Balvenie range.
